THE LAST EARTH BEAT? 🌎 A Community Conversation Beyond 2025: What Wants to Emerge? As we celebrate 10 years since Earth Beat began, our 7th edition, and our 5th (and likely final) festival at Ātiu Creek, we’re opening a conversation about what comes next.
📌 This will take place at this year’s festival on Saturday, March 22, 2025 | 1:15-3:15pm | Juicy Watermelon.

WE'RE AT A TURNING POINT 🌗 After building momentum over three years at Ātiu Creek, we find ourselves at a threshold. We face several challenges: securing financial sustainability, determining our next home (or navigating a return to Ātiu), and creating structures that nurture rather than deplete our organizing team. Yet within these challenges lie rich possibilities.

What is the essence of Earth Beat that we want to carry forward? How might we preserve its unique qualities while allowing it to evolve? What forms might it take that would best serve the community while being forgiving for all involved? How are you called to be part of the transformation of Earth Beat?

Whether you’ve been with Earth Beat since the beginning or this is your first festival, your experience and insight are valuable. By day, Earth Beat is a family-friendly utopia. Finding your perfect camping spot at Earth Beat is like matchmaking with the land - and Ātiu Creek is quite the character with its rolling hills and limited flat spots! This questionnaire will guide you to your ideal festival home based on your specific needs.

Earth Beat is a unique multi-generational gathering where our youngest dancers, their sleep-deprived parents, wise elders, and everyone in between create magic together. Where you choose to camp affects not just your own experience, but the whole Earth Beat village.

While we will try to accommodate "I want to camp with my friends" requests, if you really want to camp with your friends (especially if they have children), the most 100% way of doing this is to arrive together. Otherwise, please be ready to accept that it may not happen.

Please be conscious that you will be camping in close quarters (particularly in Baby Blue, Orange Ridge, and both Purple camps). Be mindful of your footprint area and keep it to a minimum so others can find good spots too. Let's find your perfect patch of Earth Beat soil! 🌙
