Macrame Jewellery – Sustainable Gifting
Jessica Holdaway
Want to learn a new (and ancient!) craft? Capture a special stone or crystal in a macramé net, making your own wearable or gift piece of jewellery.
To be HUMAN is to CREATE. We have been making/crafting things we need in life since forever. These skills are rapidly being taken over by mass production, big corporations and technology. I aim to re-introduce craft as a way to save money, the planet and your very being with the meditative mindfulness crafting brings.
I have taught a range of craft classes; jewellery, crochet, sewing and felting, re-introducing old skills. Sold my wares at markets and festivals, made my family’s clothes and shoes, and generally lived a very crafty life!
Claiming your inner creative is a journey you can start with me. I instruct, guide and demonstrate the steps to take with simple cord and stone, first to create a net, then to bind the stone and finally to make a necklace. Come and join me in re-remembering the ancient craft of turning found objects into jewellery.
Cord provided by gold coin donation, please bring your own stone/crystal.
