Manawa Ora Kids Yoga
Angela Mastronardi
The workshop starts exploring what is the breath and act of breathing, using a little tissue on our mouths and under our noses to have a clear experience of it. With this new understanding in our kete, we then flow in a fun sequence of easy dynamic asanas that mimic the world of animals, nature, things and actions. The practise ends with a brief relaxation listening to the sound of the singing bowl and Tibetan bells.
The class is playful, and my tender and joyful nature allows the children to relax and enjoy a fun engaging experience that holds simple, deep and beautiful yogic knowledge and practice. For children from 3 to 10 years old (younger children will need to have a parent with them). Length is about 30-40 minutes.
Originally from Italy, Angela has rooted in Aotearoa for the past 7 years. She holds a diploma in Socio-Pedagogy, a bachelor degree in Neurophysiology and she is a yoga teacher since 2013, although her journey with yoga started back in 2005.
During her life she has been taking care of children consistently, from one-on-one to group babysitting, working for early child care centres both in Italy and Aotearoa, and now being a mother to a bright 3 years old. She has shared the game of yoga with little ones in several occasions in above settings.
