Buzz is a four-piece grunge / hard rock band right from here in Tāmaki Makaurau. Formed in 2022 by Harper (bass), Harlo (guitar), and Holly (drums), Buzz began as an innocent enough mostly-for-fun school band, but after Flea (lead singer) joined, things quickly spiralled into the machine that they are today. Their music is loud, fast, raw, and reminiscent of grunge bands that emerged from Seattle in the 90’s. Buzz has been a common sight on the underage scene for the last two years, playing gigs everywhere from Big Fan, The Tuning Fork and local and personal favourite of the band, The Underground. Buzz also placed in the National Finals of SmokeFree Rockquest last year, making them one of the top 7 bands in all of Aotearoa.
