Traversing the terrain of “Cinematic Bass Opera” and “Dark Indie”, Calla builds sonic journeys that are most often described as “cinematic”, “transformative”, and “ethereal”. An operatically trained soprano, Calla brings an entirely new approach to opera that is dynamic and electric. Drawing inspiration from Scandinavian artists such as Eivør and Aurora, Calla unashamedly taps into her soul and whakapapa as she weaves her soundscapes.
