Choice are a folktronica duo fusing folk roots with eclectic rhythms ranging from d’n’b to dub to ambient trip-hop using a combo of acoustic instruments and electronic sounds.
20 years has seen the development from Tribal folk to Folktronica. Starting out with a simple guitar, vocals and djembe, their set up has morphed into a labyrinth of looping, whilst still maintaining the poignant lyrics and songwriting of their original singer/songwriter sound.
The music has both Celtic and Classical influences with electronic bass heavy subs, live looping of violin, vocals and guitar and high energy live drumming. The orchestral loops and beat-driven layers create an hypnotic, intense and atmospheric sound topped off with thought provoking lyrics and melodic vocals.
