Conscious menstruation for the evolution of humanity
Olivia Johnson-lee
In Te Reo Māori, the womb is called ‘te whare tangata’—the house of the people. By cultivating a more intimate and harmonious relationship with the womb and advocating for this space, we co-create a culture where the source of humanity is healthy, honored, and respected, regardless of whether becoming a parent is on our path.
As a Birth Doula and Menstrual Cycle Coach, I believe that if we learned to respect our cyclical nature from menarche (first menstruation), the world would be transformed. Wherever you are along your womb-keeping journey—from menarche to post-menopause, or if you are a tane who wants to learn how to be of support—you are an integral part of claiming this consciousness for future generations.
My offerings are a distillation of my own ten-year healing journey, passion-led studies, and the collective wisdom of the hundreds of women I have supported over the years. My intention is to reawaken reverence for the womb space, supporting wāhine to tune in, trust, and express the intelligence of nature that flows through our form.
