Women, What Do You Want?
Ines Steward
For women raised in our dominant culture of patriarchy, it can be difficult to find words to express what your being truly wants. You might have chosen a strategy of sensing what other people want and committing to their wants more than to the impulses of your own being. Consciously or unconsciously, you may have committed more to being adaptive than to being yourself.
This is a great way to hide who you really are and to keep yourself safe. However, it also creates messes in your life. Are you ready to try something different? It is never too late to start practicing how to say what you want.
We partner up with another woman and keep asking the question, “What do you want?”—right through all defense mechanisms, concepts, beliefs, and stories—into the other woman’s being, encouraging her to connect with her feelings. Maybe you have never been asked this question before.
In this safe, women-only practice space, you can discover what it’s like to be asked and to speak your wants. All are welcome.
