Wild Nidra
Charlotte Friedrich
Yoga Nidra, with “Nidra” meaning sleep, is a meditative practice that guides you deep into the realms of rest. In this class, we’re creating a space of stillness to integrate the transformational effects of the festival and a place to rest for a little while, so you can be fully present and immersed in all that is happening at Earthbeat.
Wild Nidra is a form of Yoga Nidra inspired by the rhythms of nature in and around us. It will be co-created specifically for this occasion, together with you and the earth, with the intention of creating a deeper connection to the land, the whenua that we’re practicing on.
Charlotte is a cyclical wellbeing practitioner with an MSc in wellbeing psychology and specialised training in a variety of wellbeing modalities, including hormonal health, women’s yoga therapy, Total Yoga Nidra, and chronobiology. At home in Tāhuna, Queenstown, she leads a wellbeing practice and consults to the award-winning wellness retreat centre Aro Hā. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her somewhere in nature, hiking or foraging for seasonal foods.
