Earth Beat Dialogues

The Earth Beat Dialogues is another attempt to have conversations that matter in this Community. Last year there was a facilitated panel discussion that went pear-shaped and was shut down. This stimulated a lot of learning for those involved. Some people hated it and some people thought this was just what we needed, a wake up to the tensions that exist amongst us that we often feel too afraid to talk about or when we do misunderstandings occur and opinions are forcefully spoken.
It is hard to hear what is being shared when there is fear and a lack of understanding present. The invitation this year is to relieve some of these tensions by participating in a series of small group dialogues on subjects that matter to you and others. Our aim is to have conversations that nourish soul and uplift spirit in a way that helps see energies and forces at play so that this world, which life is dependent on, is filled with more loving kindness and conscious awareness. Through a dialogue process we will work on ‘third force blindness’ and experience ‘the third creative reconciling life force’.
Dharmacari Ākāśadāka (AK) will facilitate and resource these dialogues. He is a Regenerative Practitioner, an ordained member of the Triratna Buddhist Order and has been stewarding the Deep Pacific Regenerative Dialogues for the last three years. His friendship with Sadra, co-founder of Earth Beat, and his whānau and friends, are asking him to care more deeply and offer something that might be of value to this Festival Community. In dialogue and conversation with others who were involved last year, the Earth Beat Dialogues is what has emerged.
