Kirtan Collective
Sarah Spence
Kirtan Collective brings back the Kirtan scene of the 2010’s to the present. Sarah Marlowe Spence (Premratna), Gabrielle Crowe of Mangawhai’s The Gaya Tree, and friends from around the country facilitate an uplifting joyful space. If you were a Shakti Sacred Music or The Gaya Tree (band iteration #1) fan back in the day, this is one not to miss. If you weren’t into Kirtan 10+ years ago, come and see what was happening for some historical perspective.
Sarah and Gabrielle come from different Yoga/Kirtan traditions that encompass all Kirtan themes including a myriad of Goddesses along with Siva, Rama and Krishna.
Sarah Marlowe Spence (Premratna) and Gabrielle Crowe have a collective history of 40 years of Kirtan between them and play a variety of instruments including modern Kirtan standards harmonium and guitar, as well as violin, flute and various percussion instruments. They are joined by friends with years of Kirtan experience to take you into open-hearted bliss.
