Native Plant Nursery
Sonja Urban
Join me in our lovely little native plant nursery at Atiu Creek for a couple of hours, getting your hands dirty. We are growing thousands of native seedlings destined for our planting project at Atiu Creek and these natives need some love, like pricking weeds from seed trays, potting up seedlings and weeding in and around the nursery grounds. It is such a beautiful experience to see and care for these tree babies while they grow to be strong enough to be planted in the next couple of winters. What to wear/bring: Sturdy boots are essential, long sleeves, and long trousers. Bring a water bottle and maybe a snack to share 🙂
Please note this free workshop requires registration at the Info Tent and is capped at a maximum of 15 people. The Shuttle leaves for this workshop at 2pm on Friday from the info tent, please arrive at the info tent before then. Only those who have registered can partake.
