I grew up in Okura Bush, Auckland. As a kid my happy place was sitting on the deck with my parents looking out into the depths of Space. When I first saw the rings of Saturn through a telescope as an adult, I was enchanted. I volunteered constantly, learning from astronomers for some years and joining the staff as Telescope Operator. I left over lockdown, got my own telescope and drove out of Auckland’s light polluted sky to hold shows in Piha. Festival offerings are where I refine the edges of my science: storytelling through space and time.
