Given what it is happening right now in Israel/Palestine and has been happening since 1947, we want to create a safe place to hear first-hand the stories from a Palestinian activist, Tameem Shaltoni, whose family went through the Nabka, when more than 700,000 Palestinians were forced out of their homes into refugee camps and until today not allowed to return.
We’ll hear also from Ilan Blumberg, a South African born Jew that emigrated to Israel and served in the Israeli Defense Force. He is now part of a growing Jewish solidarity movement that advocates for Palestinian liberation.
The talk will be followed by a Q & A session. This is organized together by Palestinians and Jewish groups that are convinced that peace and co-existence is only possible based on justice and equal rights for ALL living in the Land.
Diego, Tameem and Ilan have all spoken in rallies as part of their advocacy for Palestine. They look forward to sharing with the Earth Beat Community.
