Spritual Science (Anthroposophy)
David Seidel
The workshop will have a mix of practical interactive activities such as meditation as well a ‘talk’ format where I will give an overview of what Anthroposophy is. The aim of the workshop is to give people an insight into what Anthroposophy is and how it’s applied practically in life. Rudolf Steiner founded Anthroposophy about 100 years ago and it’s ideas are more relevant today than ever. Together we’ll take a look at some of the core ideas which are the foundation of Anthroposophy, such as reincarnation and karma. These two ideas can be seen as the building block of Anthroposophy. The workshop will have a balance of practical activities as well as an opportunity to just listen. It’s an invitation to dive into some of the ideas and see if any of them resonate with you!
My name is David Seidel and I’m originally from Tauranga. I’m a trained Waldorf Class teacher and I’m and member of the School of Spiritual Science. Anthroposophy has many known practical outlets, such as Waldorf Education, Biodynamics, Medicine, and many more. At the heart of all these is the body of knowledge we call Anthroposophy. I completed my Masters in Stuttgart, Germany where I lived for 2 years. Being fully immersed in Anthroposophy has given me tools and the ability to share on what the philosophy actually is.
